Medal Meet Information

Our league gives the swimmers the opportunity to swim in a medal meet after the regular season is over. If you have swam in at least 2 meets then you are eligible to swim in a medal meet. All swimmers that have swam in 2 meets are eligible for the Bronze meet. You may register for a maximum of 3 individual events. To register, log in to swimtopia and declare for the Bronze Meet like you have done for other meets this season. This year the Bronze medal meet will be held at Walden during the evening of Wednesday July 19th from 5:30-8:30.

The other options that swimmers have are the Silver and Gold medal meets. In order to attend these meets swimmers have to have received a qualifying time during one of the regular season meets. You can find the qualifying time listed under each event on the meet result sheets found on our website. If your child has swam one of the silver or gold times then you should also see a little box under their name with gold of silvr on the results sheet. You only need to swim the qualifying time once in order to qualify. To register, log in to swimtopia and declare for the Silver or Gold meet. The Silver meet will be, Saturday July 22rd (8:30am) @ Hillsmere. The Gold meet will be, Sunday July 23rd (8:30am) @ Indian Landing Boat Club.

You may only swim in one medal meet. If your child has swam a qualifying time for Silver or Gold then that is the only meet they can swim that event in. For example, one year Maura only qualified for silver in butterfly. We decided to have her swim in the bronze meet. Since she had a qualifying time for fly she was not able to swim fly in the bronze meet. Instead she swam free, back and was put in a relay. We swam in the bronze meet because she could swim in more events. This decision is up to you and your swimmer.

I know that many of you will want to wait to see how Saturday's meet goes in order to know which meets are available to you. With that in mind, we ask that you declare which medal meet you are attending no later than 10:00am on Sunday July 16th. This will give our tech and coaching staff time to review the declarations and seed the meets.

*Please know that we will still need volunteers for the medal meets. We are hosting the Bronze meet and need many hands to get things set up for it to run smoothly once the teams arrive. The number of volunteers needed for the Gold and SIlver meets is dependent on the number of swimmers we have entered. I will send out volunteer obligations once the meets are seeded. Warm up times will be sent out closer to the meet dates. If you have any question feel free to email me.
