Hey Walden families,

It was a great first meet and I hope your swimmers had fun!

I wanted to send a quick email to outline what is going on this week since there are a few new wrinkles to this week:

• Afternoon practices will take place on Monday - Wednesday.
• No practice on Thursday - we're giving Coach Chas the day off for his final work day of the school year.
• Even though Friday is a federal holiday, we will hold our first morning practices in preparation for Saturday's meet.
• I will host an informal parent meeting Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the pool to answer any questions you have about our first home meet on Saturday, what to expect the rest of the season or anything else you'd like to discuss.
• Friday night meet setup will begin at 8 p.m. (slightly earlier depending on how many people are at the pool and how much I talk at the parent meeting). This runs no more than 30 minutes depending on how much help we can get. And the more dads we have, the easier it is to move the slide!
• Saturday morning will be our first home meet! Our warmups will start at 7:10 a.m. so our meet can start at 8. More details to come later in the week.

If you haven't already done so, please let us know if your swimmer will be at Saturday's meet and please sign up for a volunteer position as well. 

Lastly, two other things I want to make sure are on your calendar:

• Our fundraiser night at Ledo's Pizza is Tuesday, June 23. More information is attached but please consider eating Ledo's Pizza that night to support the swim team as a portion of the sales will be donated back to us.
• I'm not sure if I shared this before but the final swim team event for the season is the swim team party on Monday, July 20 at the pool. Please plan on celebrating the season with us and if anyone wants to plan the party - please let me know.
